Queen tours Chelsea Flower Show
Blackholes, meteors and travelling back in time were some of the strange phenomena experienced by the Queen at a Chelsea Flower Show garden inspired by Stephen Hawking. A plot at the famous horticultural show was dedicated to the world famous theoretical physicist who was on hand to meet the monarch. Hawking is hoping the impressive display of fauna, flora and water features commissioned by the Motor Neurone Disease Association wins a coveted gold medal at the show. The physicist has suffered from debilitating Motor Neurone for many years but has continued his work trying to explain some of the extraordinary phenomena of the universe.
