VIP service to help top gardening event grow

Run by the North of England Horticultural Society, the spring and autumn flower shows have grown from strength to strength in recent years, bucking the trend for most similar events. Plans for growth at the Harrogate Flower Shows will continue apace in 2012 with the launch of two new hospitality services. Attracting nearly 100,000 visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors each year, the shows moved to the Great Yorkshire Showground 15 years ago, where they have expanded to cover some 22 acres. Now the UK’s biggest and most prestigious independent gardening events, the twice yearly shows will offer a new VIP experience, plus first class business hospitality.

Harrogate Flower Show Part One « Gardens of the World

Edrom would have been showing some wonderful alpines too and they always have a good display of interesting plants. If you really are interested in alpines, you should join The Alpine Garden Society in England, or the Rock Garden society of America. Before I go on to plants, let me say that if you miss the Harrogate Flower Show, you really are missing out. I went to the Harrogate Flower Show as promised on Saturday 24 April 2010. I spent almost two hours in the alpine marquee, wondering in amazement at the beauty of alpines. There are far too many photos to share in one post, so this is just part one, check back for further posts later. These small, perfectly formed treasures that are not the easiest plants to grow yet given the right conditions, flower their hearts out.
