Chelsea Garden Show is truly a sight to behold
The show only runs for five days, but manages to pack in 157,000 visitors over that time, all determined to see the latest plants and the very best of garden designs. The Queen was there, too, and is going to be here in town next month, and occasional queen look-alike Helen Mirren, in Cambridge for a movie this spring, was also at the show. It won a gold medal and Best in Show award, a remarkable and no doubt restorative triumph for a young designer, whose wife died suddenly last summer, leaving him with three young children.
