Business Hopes Craigslist Ad Will Help Solve Robbery
Two weeks ago Rick's Garden Center on West Uintah was robbed, the crooks caught on surveillance camera and those pictures are now on a Craigslist ad. It was a brazen crime that happened in broad daylight. That's why they've installed seven more security cameras and have moved many of the expensive indoor growing items, like high powered lights, into the backroom. In fact he says since the medical marijuana industry started booming last fall all of his indoor gardening products have become hot sellers and also hot targets for crooks. Four crooks walked into the garden center around 10:30 in the morning. "They use it for indoor gardening, many times growing marijuana," Mike said. "I'm more concerned with other businesses that are vulnerable," said Mike Estes, owner and manager of Rick's Garden Center. They distracted the employees and minutes later ran out the front door with 700 hundred dollars worth of stuff. Mike hopes someone out there knows who they are and can help police find them, before they strike again.
