The affected lawnmowers have engines manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kawasaki, Kohler, Tecumseh and Toro, or were manufactured as a whole by Deere, EHP, Honda, Husqvarna, MTD, Sears or Toro. According to the lawsuit, several different companies “significantly” overstated the horsepower of some lawnmowers, labeling them at a much higher horsepower than they actually were. Other brands included in the suit were manufactured by these companies under the names Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Honda, Bolens, Exmark, Deere, Sabre, Scotts, Toro, Yard Machines, Craftsman, Troy Bilt, Poulan, Poulan PRO, Lawn-Boy, Weed Eater, White... You can receive up to $35 for each affected walk-behind mower and up to $75 for each riding lawnmower. In fact, the lawsuit claims, they sold identical lawnmowers and labeled them with different horsepower claims.
