When a resident mowing her lawn in the 1-100 block of University Drive the afternoon of June 6 went inside for five minutes because of rain, her Snapper mower valued at $375 disappeared. According to police reports, the owner stated that the ram escaped by manipulating the gate latch and the ewes followed him in his quest for freedom. Thieves broke the driver's-side window and removed a purse from a vehicle parked the late afternoon of June 5 at Buffalo Grove Golf Course, 48 Raupp Blvd. Thieves entered and unlocked vehicle and removed an Apple iTouch, an iPod connector and a cell phone charger, all valued at $430, overnight June 4 in the 200 block of Stanton Drive. The officer talked to a 13-year-old neighbor, who said he was plinking cans in the back yard. Officers used their cruisers to herd goats blocking the intersection of Prairie and Aptakisic roads back to their pen.
