City Board recognizes grant efforts, awards bid for mower
Greg Williams, purchasing agent for the city of Dyersburg, presented the board with a bid from Ron's Small Engines in the amount of $13,180 for the purchase of a front-mount, zero-turn mower. The purpose of Safe Routes to School is to promote and encourage alternate routes for children to get to school. The Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Alderman held a brief meeting in the courtroom of the Municipal Building on Monday evening to discuss several issues, including the Safe Routes to School grant. In the alderman reports: * Williams again commended the efforts of the many individuals who assisted in the Safe Routes to School Grant. The bid was unanimously awarded to Ron's Small Engines, which is based out of Portageville, Mo. Alderman Bart Williams presented the board with the minutes of the Recreation Committee meeting from Monday, March 28.
